Fall Exchange

Schedule of Events:
Attending the morning session will earn you 3 hours of continuing education credits. The afternoon session will add an additional 2 hours. You may attend one or both.
8:00- 9:15

• Sign in, fill out the MMEA contact survey, and sign up for the 3-5 credit hours (if desired).
• Set up your lesson to share on a table in the main room (gym)
• Tour the other lessons that have been set up, enjoy refreshments, and connect with others

9:15- 9:30 MMEA announcements

9:30- 10:30: Sharing Group Session 1

• ·          Supporting Children's Mathematical Development in the Montessori 3-6 Classroom:
  Assessment, Lesson Planning, Filling in the Gaps with Vicky Thompson
• Professional Registry with the Early Childhood Project

10:30- 11:00 Break

11:00-12:00: Sharing Group Session 2



• Primary Lesson Extensions with Mr. Tom
• Overview on how to meet the developmental needs of toddlers by preparing the environment and becoming an aware adult with Nancy McNabb

12:00- 1:30: Bring a sack lunch and enjoy social time with your fellow Montessori educators or enjoy one of Livingston’s eateries.

1:30- 3:00: Sharing Group Session 3

• Head of Schools Round Table discussion lead by Nancy Jo of Billings Montessori
• Beauty in the classroom: Creating beautiful materials that inspire children.  You have the option of one of two sessions on this topic, in either session you will create a material to use with your children and discuss how to share your love of creating and sewing with children.
• Chris McNeil will lead a group in creating functional pencil pouches.
• Danielle will lead a group in creating draw string bags for various classroom uses.

3:00: End of Session

• ·          Take down your lesson
• ·          Fill out a comment/evaluation card at the MMEA booth
• Pick up you certificate of attendance for credit hours at the sign in table.
